Its too bad the majority of our tax money is funneled into the hand of the weapons and defense companies. If we doubled our education funding, which we absolutely should, it would still be only a fraction of the money we put towards military expenditures. At what point will our leaders realize that an educated public is a matter of national security in itself!?
The Bush administrations "No Child Left Behind" policy emphasizes accountability in our schools. But without proper funding, how can we expect our schools to meet rigorous standards? You can raise standards as high as you want but without the resources to achieve our kids won't succeed.
What has it come to? Do we really need a more powerful education lobby in Washington to get our representatives to provide proper funding to our schools?
The design on this decal is awsome, very effective!
My son's school has 10 computers for student use. In a school of 400, 10 computers! We are in an age of globalization, where children in India and Japan can compete equally with our kids for high paying tech jobs, because location is no longer relevant...its about skill and ability, and I fear our schools are way behind.
