A major issue seems to be, that the "average" American doesn't seem to understand the tremendous breach of Constitutional rights at play when our government asserts the power to bug our phones at will, without warrants. This is not to say there is not legitimate reasons to listen in to known terror suspects conversations for incriminating information. But what IS essential is that warrants are sought before this process takes place. Without these warrants (which safegaurd our rights as individuals) the door is open for major abuse of power. And the fact that the Bush administration is so defiant in its stance to eavesdrop WITHOUT warrants...well this only lends greater clout to the possibility that abuse of this power is already taking place. These are the actions of a fascist regime, not an elected government in a free land. The sticker is so funny - if only the offense of bugging your own citizens phones at will was as funny and light. Anyways i do like your stickers, and chance you'll make this one in a magnetic version? thanks. |
